Thavoron shares her single “Attitude,” available March 6th via Trailing Twelve Records.
Thavoron (Tav-er-on) returns with her new single “Attitude,” out March 6, 2026 via Trailing Twelve Records. A heavy, sensual alt-R&B track driven by spacey guitars, submerged bass, and commanding vocal presence, “Attitude” captures the charged intersection of sexual power, emotional risk, and self-awareness.
Written and produced by Thavoron, “Attitude” explores the pull of desire even when it clashes with clarity. The song leans into a bratty, unapologetic energy, where charm, beauty, and vulnerability collide, reflecting a moment of reckoning between autonomy and attachment.
“My attitude, rather, my sexual energy, is my superpower,” says Thavoron. “This song came from recognizing that sometimes the hurt feels desirable, and understanding how much power someone can hold over you when intimacy and safety become intertwined. It’s about claiming that power back, even when it’s messy.”
Sonically, “Attitude” draws from the shadowy emotional depth of early Weeknd-era R&B, the negative space and guitar work of The xx, and the fearless intimacy of artists like FKA twigs and Tirzah. The result is a track that feels confrontational and hypnotic, balancing ambient restraint with emotional weight.

The accompanying music video, directed by Maddie Ludgate, unfolds almost entirely within a hotel room, transforming a private interior into a site of intimacy, longing, and self-reflection. Shot in Seattle, the visual leans into late-night closeness and isolation, blurring the line between observation and performance. Incorporating choreography Thavoron has performed live for years, the video acts as a physical manifestation of the track’s tension, sensual, haunted, and self-possessed.
Born in Everett, Washington to Cambodian immigrant parents, Thavoron has steadily carved out her own lane by writing, producing, and performing her music independently. Since the release of her critically praised album Ugly (2021) and her self-titled double album Thavoron (2024), she has received support from KEXP, METAL Magazine, LADYGUNN, Grimy Goods, Ones To Watch, and The Luna Collective.
With “Attitude,” Thavoron continues to sharpen her voice, leaning fully into vulnerability, sensuality, and power on her own terms.
“Attitude” is out March 6, 2026 via Trailing Twelve on all platforms. Watch the music video below.

BIO
Thavoron is a Cambodian-American and trans (she/her) artist based in Seattle, Washington. Layering angelic vocals and intimate lyricism over heart-breaking sonic progressions, Thavoron fuses together elements of dark R&B, ethereal folk, and raw indie rock.
Growing up as a Cambodian-American and not feeling represented in the music industry, Thavoron hopes to help pave the way for Southeast/Asian American and queer artists alike looking for a sense of creative community:
“..being surrounded by people I couldn’t fully relate to resorted to me locking myself up in my bedroom to just write to try and make sense of all my differences as a person.”
With coverage including Under The Radar, LADYGUNN, Celebmix, METAL, Ones To Watch, Seattle Times, Unclear, and Before The Data, Thavoron’s music has been described as deeply reflective, vulnerable, and increasingly rare. Tackling themes like cultural identity, grief, and strained relationships, Thavoron crafts hauntingly melancholy songs that leave a lasting impression.
