Alesia Lani Follows Up Acclaimed Album With “Lean Into You” Music Video

Alesia Lani releases her new music video for “Lean Into You” available January 26th via Trailing Twelve Records.

Texas-based soul songstress Alesia Lani follows up her genre-bending new album Self Titled with the release of a music video for the standout track “Lean Into You.” Since its release, Self Titled has received considerable coverage from outlets such as METAL, Luna Collective, and Celebmix as well as broad playlisting. METAL Magazine called the record her “most personal and introspective album thus far.” Describing “Lean Into You” as “a definite high point on the record.”

“Lean Into You” acts as the album’s first love song. Opening with a Bossa Nova pattern, Alesia creates a romantic atmosphere to let her guard down. Alesia invites the listener into the defenseless feelings of falling in love: “I try to fight it but I can’t win / When it comes to you I just give in / Cause I don’t really like nobody babe, nobody / Ain’t no complaints cause I’m so into you.”

For Alesia, the song came as a “last-minute surprise” after being personally sent the beat by her collaborator and producer Black Mike. With the assistance of Christopher Spivey on the keys and Alex Alco of Los Alcos on guitar and percussion, “Lean Into You” was created.

The music video opens with images of the maximalist bohemian garden setting. Paintings and candles adorn the walls creating a warm and eye-catching atmosphere. Alesia is introduced to the viewer in a black sombrero embellished with red leather tassels and the viewer is immediately drawn into the intimate portrayal of a couple in love.
